Looks like General Nolan is going to make the starters play at least a series against the Chargers in Scrimmage #4. This makes total sense. Let's work out our kinks against a team that is definitely worse than the Bears. Oh wait, the Chargers are the second-best team in the NFL based on Vegas odds. Clearly any kinks are going to have to wait to be worked out until 9-10-07.
Also looks like the regular season is getting close since Darrell Jackson's hamstring is tightening up. Hopefully it's nothing but that can be a nagging injury. Personally, I'm getting ready to track his rise and fall on the injury report for the next 20 weeks.
And lastly, for the nostalgic, here is a ridiculous clip of Bo Jackson from Tecmo Bowl.
Whoever took the time and effort to do this, record it, and post it to YouTube should be given a Congressional Medal of Honor, The Decider's Cross of Valor, a lollipop, or whatever else they're handing out these days.

Here's to hoping we see some more of Willis, less of Harris, and a couple of nice bombs from Smith.
Also, with regard to the starting spots in question, right back should be fairly obvious given the comment above. As for WR, Jacobs hasn't really shown much, and Lelie is making an excellent case to be the 3rd wideout. That being said, almost everything lelie has caught this year has come from Dilfer, meaning that he and Smith likely have some serious work to do on their connections and understanding one another. However, I like lelie as a player, despite the fact that he isn't the most explosive guy after the catch. If nothing else, he will help spread the field with his long runs and big wing-span, which (god willing) we will abosolutely need once gore starts running for 12yds / carry again.
My biggest worry? Joe Nedney. Slicing that opening kick out of bounds, then missing an extra point? Where is our 2005 MVP? Hopefully, this will was just an anomaly, and that was his one "free" missed extra point in the season. However, given that we're not exactly an offensive juggernaut at this point, having an effective kicker makes a HUGE difference either way, as we learned from Jose Cortez *cringe*.
